Vice President of Contracts
Travis Fields serves as TSC’s Vice President of Contracts. With over 20 years of experience, his contracts management and leadership talents have been instrumental in supporting company strategic goals and objectives. Responsible for managing a diverse contracts portfolio and team of 12 contract and subcontract administrators, Mr. Fields believes in leadership through teamwork and professional development. During his tenure at TSC, he has participated in various acquisition and merger efforts, led efforts to automate contracts management processes, and conducted a major re‐structuring of the contracts department to achieve performance efficiencies. Mr. Fields also serves as the lead corporate official for Administration, Facilities, Security, and Information Technology departments.
Prior to this role, Mr. Fields served as the Contracts Manager where he quickly ascertained the team building and management skills necessary to effectively manage a team of over 10 contract/subcontract administrators. He began his career in Contract Administration in 2002, managing DoD Navy contracts and supporting documents, such as J&As, RFPs, business clearances, Pre & Post Award records, and proposal solicitations. As process improvement, Mr. Fields created the Central Files Information System (CFIMS), a Microsoft Access database to organize, track, and provide reporting information for all contracts inventoried by the Central Files Department at the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River.
Mr. Fields has an Executive Certification in Management and Leadership from MIT Sloan School of Management; certificates in Maximizing Your Leadership Potential and Foundations of Leadership from Center for Creative Leadership; several DC Bar courses, including Intellectual Property Management; and serves as the alternate empowered official for ITAR/EAR.
